Who doesn’t love to find a good deal when registering new domain names? For those of you who never thought about shopping around some before you buy, doing a bit of research in the future could end up saving your some decent money – Especially if you register lots of domains on a regular basis! Several different registrars are currently running fantastic deals where you can hand register a new COM, NET or even ORG domain for less than $5! Best of all, many of these registrars still offer additional perks for free such as whois privacy, URL forwarding and even some email options. Listed below are registrars which are currently running good domain deals. Check them out before you go and pay full price for a new .COM hand registration!
ionos.com – Ionos is owned by 1&1 who has a good reputation in this industry. 1&1 has always been a reliable place to keep your domains and buy web hosting. I’m assuming this sale is to try and increase business (domain registrations) with their new Ionos registrar. Whatever the reason might be, you can currently register COM, NET, ORG, and INFO domains for just $1. There is a 1 year max. registration length and their prices go up pretty high after that (COM’s go for $15/renewals), so if you plan on keeping the domain I’d recommend transferring it before renewal time. Still, the $1 deal is a great price!
directnic.com – If you’ve been around the domain industry for a while then you’ve likely seen DirectNIC once or twice before. This is another well-established domain registrar that is currently running a great sale. Register new .COM domains (for up to 10 years) at just $1.99/domain. DirectNIC doesn’t appear to be pushing a new registrar like 1&1 does with Ionos and their pricing is about $1 higher. Still, this is a great price for grabbing a new domain with a trusted registrar that also gives you the ability to add multiple years to your new registration.
networksolutions.com – Lots of people use NetworkSolutions and they company behind them owns several different registrars. Much like the two above, this is another domain registrar you can feel comfortable using and your domains should be completely safe there. For a limited time, using this link will get you a new .COM at NetworkSolutions for just $5! It’s a little bit more than the other two above, but still a great deal when compared to the $8.99 DynaDot charges or the $10.99 GoDaddy charges.
I can’t speak for certain about NetworkSolutions, but I can confirm that both DirectNIC and Ionos include free WhoIs Privacy with each new registration. Ionos will even let you register as many new $1 domains as you’d like, so you’re not limited to just one cheap domain. Once again though, pay attention to the renewal fee at each registrar when making your purchase. Odds are it will be more expensive then the $8.99 NameSilo charges for renewals and transfers. Most of these registrars appear to charge between $15 and $20 per domain when renewals come around. If that’s the case, wait 8-10 months and then transfer the domain over to NameSilo where it’ll only cost you $8.99 to transfer, and then $8.99 for each year of renewal!
